Did Jason Momoa Just Confirm a Tiny Role in Supergirl?

Jason Momoa has finished filming his role as Lobo in the upcoming DC movie Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow. He shared the update in a video on Instagram, saying he was thankful to play the character. He didn’t give any more details about his role, but fans are now wondering if Lobo only has a small part in the movie since Momoa wrapped filming so quickly.

Momoa joined the film earlier this year. This time, instead of Aquaman, he’s playing Lobo — a tough and wild bounty hunter from space.

While Momoa has wrapped his scenes, the rest of the cast is still filming. Milly Alcock is playing Supergirl, also known as Kara Zor-El. This version of Supergirl is more serious and experienced, showing a side of her we haven’t seen before. She’s not just adjusting to life on Earth but is dealing with everything she’s gone through in the past.

Matthias Schoenaerts is playing Krem of the Yellow Hills, a warlord who becomes the villain.
It is adapted from a comic book series by Bilquis Evely and Tom King. The series revolves around Supergirl as she embarks on a journey across space with Ruthye, assisting her in getting justice. Throughout the journey, Supergirl begins to ponder her own life and the type of hero she wishes to be.

The film is directed by Craig Gillespie and penned by Ana Nogueira. James Gunn and Peter Safran are also producing the film under the new DC Universe. The shooting is believed to wrap up in May 2025, with parts of it also being filmed in Iceland.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow will be released in theaters on June 26, 2026.
