First Look at Milly Alcock’s Supergirl & Momoa’s Lobo in DC’s ‘Woman of Tomorrow

The DC Universe is expanding, and fans just got their first look at Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow, thanks to newly leaked set photos and behind-the-scenes footage.

Spotted on set at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in England, Milly Alcock, best known for House of the Dragon, has been seen fully suited up as Supergirl, AKA Kara Zor-El. The photos reveal her in a bright, comic-accurate costume that fans of the Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow comic will instantly recognize. She’s seen standing atop an armored tank, with another major reveal right beside her: Jason Momoa, who plays Lobo.

A clip, shared by YouTube creator UnBoxPHD, gives us a sneak peek of a dramatic moment where Supergirl and Lobo appear to be pulling someone from the vehicle. The scene already has fans buzzing online, especially given the film’s darker tone and its promise of a more hardened, space-traveling Supergirl.

The film is being directed by Craig Gillespie and written by Ana Nogueira, adapting the 2021 comic by Tom King and Bilquis Evely.

What is THE PLOT?

The plot follows Supergirl on a cosmic journey to help a young girl named Ruthye get revenge on the warlord who killed her father. Along the way, Supergirl is pushed to confront the harsh realities of the galaxy, all while wrestling with her own past and pain.

Joining Alcock in the cast is Eve Ridley as Ruthye, Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem, David Krumholtz as Zor-El, Emily Beecham as Alura, and finally Jason Momoa as Lobo.

James Gunn, co-head of DC Studios, recently acknowledged the project on social media and hinted the title might eventually be shortened to just Supergirl, though nothing is official yet. He described Alcock’s take on the character as a “battle-worn warrior who has seen more than her fair share of loss.”

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is set to fly into theaters on June 26, 2026.
