Superman: Runtime Revealed and CGI Fixes Confirmed!

James Gunn has finally revealed the runtime for Superman. According to The Insider, the film currently has a runtime of approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes, not including post-credits.

The trailer and TV spots for Superman have been released, but they have faced some backlash over the CGI. Fans were particularly frustrated by a scene where Superman was flying in his iconic pose, but his eyes appeared misaligned. However, according to the latest test screening reports, the CGI has since improved, with visuals looking far better than what was shown in the trailers.

Meanwhile, a major rumor is circulating about who will play Kal-El’s Kryptonian father, Jor-El. According to industry insider Jeff Sneider, none other than Tom Cruise is the rumored A-list actor being considered for the role.

The movie features David Corenswet as Superman and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, with Nicholas Hoult playing Lex Luthor. Milly Alcock joins as Supergirl, while Sara Sampaio plays Eve Teschmacher and Skyler Gisondo takes on Jimmy Olsen.

The cast also includes Edi Gathegi as Mr. Terrific, María Gabriela de Faría as The Engineer, Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., and Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho.

Superman releases in theaters on July 11, 2025.
