Marvel Studios has finally unveiled the last trailer for Thunderbolts*, giving fans a fresh look at its dark and action-heavy storyline. This film brings together a group of former villains and anti-heroes who are forced to work as a team on a high-stakes mission that no one else is willing to take on. You can watch the final trailer below.
The team includes Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, Ghost, U.S. Agent, and Taskmaster. They’re pulled together by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, who’s clearly playing her own game behind the scenes.
Florence Pugh returns as Yelena and has already made headlines for performing a daring real-life stunt off Merdeka 118, one of the tallest buildings in the world. The teaser hints at the raw energy and personal issues that each team member brings to the task, indicating that there will be lots of conflict and emotional tension.
Jake Schreier directs the film, which has a script by Eric Pearson and Joanna Calo. Thunderbolts also has a star-studded ensemble, including Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, David Harbour as Red Guardian, and Wyatt Russell as US. Agent, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, and Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost. Julia Louis-Dreyfus returns as Valentina, the shady mastermind pulling the strings.
Instead of the typical clean-cut hero vibe, Thunderbolts focuses on messier individuals with darker backgrounds.
Thunderbolts will release in theaters on May 2, 2025.
