Chris Evans may return to the Marvel Universe in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. While Marvel Studios hasn’t confirmed anything yet, a recent leak suggests that Evans could appear in a post-credits scene, possibly as a variant of Captain America.
According to a well-known scooper, MyTimeToShineHello, Evans’ scene was part of a recent test screening. The report suggests that the Fantastic Four may encounter a different version of Captain America, which could set up bigger multiverse events in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
While there is also another rumor saying he might portray Nomad in Avengers: Doomsday. In this version, the Avengers trust him because he looks like Steve Rogers, but he later reveals his true identity as Captain Hydra, an ally of Doctor Doom.
While these rumors heat up, the director, Matt Shakman, has confirmed that in this universe, the Fantastic Four are the only superheroes on their Earth. This has led to speculation about how Evans’ appearance makes sense in the movie.
