Marvel has finally pulled back the curtain on The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and fans are buzzing after the trailer premiered at CinemaCon 2025. The team’s already in action, and the world knows them. There’s no origin story. We meet them as heroes… and as a family.

Full Trailer Breakdown
The Fantastic Four are guests on a talk show, smiling, waving, enjoying the moment. Then we get a dinner scene where Sue and Reed arrive late. Sue shares some big news—she’s pregnant. It’s a quiet, personal moment. Johnny cheers her on with warmth and his usual sarcasm. It reminds us these characters aren’t just saving the world—they’re living in it too.
There is particular scene in the trailer in which a stranger asks Reed, “Are we going to be okay?” And Reed, responds “I don’t know.”
We see Reed deep in thought, trying to make sense of what’s coming. He’s invested in research, looking for a solution. There’s fear in his voice when he speaks to Sue, but also hope. When he addresses the public, he promises The Fantastic Four will protect the world.
That’s when the Silver Surfer shows up—though not the one we’ve seen before. Julia Garner plays Shalla-Bal, and her first line cuts straight through the noise: “Are you the protectors of this world? Your planet is now marked for death.” She doesn’t attack. She warns.

The last part of the trailer brings the real threat. Galactus appears. No music, no words. Just his massive shadow towering over New York, just like that was shown in the teaser.
