Marvel fans can celebrate as Hayley Atwell will be coming back for both Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. According to the deadline, she has signed a deal to appear in both films.
The last time we saw her was in the team Illuminati as an alternate version of the character, Captain Carter, in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness in 2022. We all saw what happened next: Elizabeth Olsen’s character, Scarlet Witch, split Carter’s body in half using the shield.
Avengers: Doomsday, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo The film has an exciting cast, featuring Robert Downey Jr. returning as Doctor Victor Von Doom and Chris Evans, whose role remains undisclosed. Marvel recently announced the cast of 27 actors, and several names were not revealed in it, like Tom Holland, Chris Pratt, and including Hayley Atwell.

The cast of Avengers: Doomsday is really exciting, as the Avengers will join forces with the X-Men to face the main threat — Doctor Doom. Now it makes sense why the Russo Brothers and Kevin Feige cast Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom. If there’s anyone who can stand toe-to-toe with all these heroes at once, it’s RDJ.
Marvel isn’t even done with the casting yet. There are reportedly around 100 characters in Doomsday, and possibly even more in Secret Wars. So we’ll just have to wait for an official confirmation from Marvel.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2026.
