The Angry Birds are very back, and Paramount Pictures has officially announced that The Angry Birds Movie 3 will hit theaters on January 29, 2027. This will be the first Angry Birds film distributed by Paramount, taking over from Sony Pictures, which released the previous movies.

The original cast will be returning as Jason Sudeikis is back as the grumpy but lovable Red, while Josh Gad returns to bring his energetic charm to Chuck. Other returning cast members include Rachel Bloom and Danny McBride.
The third film will also introduce fresh voices, including Emma Myers, Keke Palmer, Tim Robinson, Lily James, Marcello Hernandez, Walker Scobell, Sam Richardson, Anna Cathcart, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Nikki Glaser, and James Austin Johnson. Perhaps the most exciting casting choice is Psalm West, the five-year-old son of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, who is set to make his on-screen debut as a voice actor.
The third movie will be directed by John Rice. He previously co-directed The Angry Birds Movie 2, which was praised for its humor and heart. The screenplay is written by Thurop Van Orman, who also has experience with animated storytelling.
Heitor Pereira, the Grammy-winning musician who composed the music for the first two Angry Birds films, will be returning to score the third installment .
President of Worldwide Marketing & Distribution at Paramount Pictures: “Angry Birds transcends mediums and has been embraced and celebrated the world over. We couldn’t be happier to be partnering with Sega/Rovio and these other great partners to bring this latest installment, featuring an incredible voice cast, to big screens everywhere.”
It continues the collaboration between Rovio Entertainment, the creators of the original Angry Birds mobile game, and SEGA, who joined forces after SEGA acquired Rovio.
