Sam Raimi Wraps Filming on His New Horror Film “Send Help”

Sam Raimi, the mastermind behind cult horror classics like the Evil Dead series and the original Spider-Man trilogy, has officially finished filming his next movie, titled Send Help. This film marks Raimi’s long-awaited return to the horror genre.

Send Help is a survival horror-thriller that tells the story of two colleagues, played by Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien, who survive a terrifying plane crash only to end up stranded on a remote island. At first, the focus is on survival. But as the days pass by, the characters’ emotions begin to unravel.

The cast also includes Chris Pang and Dennis Haysbert in supporting roles. The script was written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift, the duo behind Freddy vs. Jason and the 2009 remake of Friday the 13th. With a team like this, it’s clear Send Help is aiming to bring both emotional weight and scares.

The movie was filmed in Sydney, Australia, where production took place over several weeks. Raimi teamed up with Zainab Azizi to produce the film through Raimi Productions. 20th Century Studios is set to distribute it worldwide.

Send Help is set to hit theaters on January 30, 2026.
