Tom Cruise is once again stepping into the role of Ethan Hunt, delivering another round of thrilling stunts, covert missions, and world-saving action in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. For fans who didn’t catch the blockbuster in theaters, there’s good news: the film is finally coming to digital platforms soon.

The movie is directed by Christopher McQuarrie and co-written by McQuarrie and Erik Jendresen. Final Reckoning continues the saga with the kind of breakneck pacing and high-stakes storytelling that has defined the franchise.
The cast is packed with returning favorites and new faces alike. Alongside Cruise, the film stars Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn, and Henry Czerny as Eugene Kittridge. Vanessa Kirby reprises her role as Alanna Mitsopolis, and Hayley Atwell returns as the mysterious Grace. Esai Morales brings chilling intensity as Gabriel, with Pom Klementieff playing the lethal Paris. Other returning and new characters include Shea Whigham as Jasper Briggs, Greg Tarzan Davis as Degas, Mariela Garriga as Marie, and Frederick Schmidt as Zola Mitsopolis.

Also making appearances are Holt McCallany as Bernstein, Nick Offerman as Sydney, and Rolf Saxon, returning as William Donloe — a deep cut from the very first Mission: Impossible film. Mark Gatiss and Charles Parnell also reprise their roles as the heads of the NSA and NRO, last seen in Dead Reckoning Part One. Joining the franchise for the first time are Janet McTeer, Hannah Waddingham, Lucy Tulugarjuk, Katy O’Brian, Tramell Tillman, and Stephen Oyoung, though their roles are still being kept under wraps.
The movie is produced by Tom Cruise and Christopher McQuarrie, under production banners including Skydance Media, New Republic Pictures, and TC Productions.
The film will be available to rent or buy on digital platforms like Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Google Play, and Vudu starting August 19, 2025.
