Ryu, Ken, Akuma & Blanka Cast? Street Fighter Movie Lineup Might’ve Just Leaked

Looks like the next live-action Street Fighter movie is bringing some serious heat. According to Deadline, Jason Momoa, WWE star Roman Reigns, Andrew Koji, and Noah Centineo are all in early talks to join the upcoming adaptation of Capcom’s iconic fighting game.

The film is being developed by Legendary Pictures in partnership with Capcom, the studio behind the Street Fighter games, which have been entertaining fans for decades. With over 55 M units sold since its debut in 1987, Street Fighter remains one of the most successful fighting game franchises in gaming history.

Kitao Sakurai will be directing the movie; he’s best known for the wild prank comedy Bad Trip. He steps in after Danny and Michael Philippou (Talk to Me) were previously attached in 2023. No writer has been officially announced yet, and the plot is being kept quiet for now, but with casting ramping up, more details will be coming soon.

The roles are not confirmed yet, but according to Jeff Sneider Roman Reigns could be taking on Akuma, the powerful and mysterious villain who first showed up in Super Street Fighter II Turbo back in 1994. Jason Momoa is reportedly set to play Blanka, the green-skinned mutant with electric powers and a tragic backstory. Koji will play Ryu, the main protagonist of the games, while Centineo will play Ken Masters, Ryu’s rival and the man who trained him since he was young.

Of course, none of this is confirmed yet, and official casting news will likely drop closer to production. But if these rumors are true, it sure is a dream cast.
