Avengers: Doomsday Ticket Announcement Generates More Google Interest Than Dune: Part Three Trailer

Avengers: Doomsday Ticket Announcement Generates More Google Interest Than Dune: Part Three Trailer

December 18, 2026, is going to be a huge day for movie lovers, as two of the biggest films are releasing on the same day — Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part Three. This is the third and final part of the Dune franchise, but for Avengers, this is the first of the two films (Avengers: Doomsday & Avengers: Secret Wars) that will release.

A new Dune: Part Three trailer was released a couple of days ago, which people got really excited about. But just yesterday, Marvel made a huge announcement about the tickets for Doomsday, and people went crazy about it, searching for it everywhere — it generated more than twice the Google Search interest compared to the recent Dune: Part Three trailer.

The hype around both these movies is really crazy, but it seems Avengers: Doomsday has the upper hand in terms of hype, and there’s no surprise in that if you look at it — we have RDJ returning, but as a villain, he’s playing Dr. Doom. Chris Evans is back as Captain America, and just because it’s the Avengers, and we’re getting an Avengers movie after almost 7 years with the Russo Brothers directing the movie.

DUNESDAY

When Robert Downey Jr. and Timothée Chalamet appeared on stage together in LA for a special screening of Chalamet’s A24 movie Marty Supreme, Downey told the audience that since both films are releasing on the same day, they decided to name it Dunesday.

"We both have films opening on December 18, and we decided to coin it… We're thinking Dunesday." The moniker got a laugh in the room, with Downey Jr. adding: "We'll see if we're still friends by then."

Both Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part Three will release in theaters on December 18, 2026.
