As Superman: Man of Tomorrow is the only DC project that will be released in theaters, and while filming for the movie has also been completed, the director of the movie and head of DC Studios, James Gunn, has already started working on his next movie as he is writing a script for the next DC movie.
According to some fan speculation, James Gunn may be working on one of these projects:
- ‘WORLD’S FINEST’
- ‘THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD’
- ‘SUPERMAN 3’
WORLD’S FINEST mainly focuses on the biggest characters from DC, Batman and Superman. It explores team-ups between DC’s flagship heroes, most notably Superman and Batman, and shows how the world’s most powerful alien hero and Gotham’s dark vigilante work together despite their contrasting methods and ideologies.
BATMAN:THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD could be the next project that James Gunn will be working on, since Andy Muschietti has walked away from the project. Nothing is happening with the movie right now, and because of that, Gunn himself will be writing and directing The Brave and the Bold. The movie will mainly focus on Batman and Robin, and according to James Gunn, the film will adapt Grant Morrison’s famous comic book run. The story explores Batman trying to get his violent son in line while also introducing other members of the extended Bat-Family.
Then finally, it could be the immediate sequel to Superman: Man of Tomorrow.
Superman: Man of Tomorrow is scheduled to be released in theaters in the United States on July 9, 2027.
