While talking to fans at Shanghai’s Bilibili World Expo, Kevin Feige revealed several details about where the future of the MCU is heading, discussing some new projects and sharing interesting details about specific characters. Yelena Belova was one of them.

So, when Feige was talking about Avengers: Doomsday, he said Yelena plays an important role in the movie. But if you can’t wait until then, he said:
“If you’re a fan of Yelena, wait until ‘Avengers: Doomsday.’ Yelena plays a big part in that. But if you don’t want to wait until then… you might see Yelena a little bit sooner in the movies.”
It basically confirms that Yelena will appear in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, most likely in an extended cameo. There have also been rumors that there will be a scene where Peter Parker and Yelena Belova unexpectedly see each other in an uncomfortable situation.

With that, he also revealed some details about the future of the X-Men. He said the main focus after Avengers: Secret Wars is going to be the Mutant Saga.

“After ‘Secret Wars,’ the mutants are coming, the X-Men are coming, & that’s been a dream of mine. I started with the X-Men many, many years ago, and to bring a new version into the MCU is going to be very exciting.”
