Once a movie that was nearly shelved for just a tax write-off, Warner Bros. now has the highest-rated Looney Tunes movie. Coyote vs. Acme is getting raving reviews from critics, calling it better than Space Jam 1 and 2.
After several unsuccessful negotiations with various distributors, Ketchup Entertainment acquired the rights for $50 million in March 2025, after previously doing so with the North American distribution rights to Warner Bros. Animation’s The Day the Earth Blew Up.
It currently has 32 reviews from Rotten Tomatoes, and now has a 94% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Coyote vs. Acme is directed by Dave Green, written by Samy Burch from a story by Burch, James Gunn, and Jeremy Slater, and starring Will Forte, Lana Condor, Tone Bell, Luis Guzmán, Martha Kelly, P.J. Byrne, and John Cena. Eric Bauza, Kenneth Choi, Candi Milo, and Jim Cummings provide voice roles for the film.
Synopsis For Coyote vs. Acme
After every product made by the Acme Corporation has backfired on Wile E. Coyote in his pursuit of the Road Runner, down-and-out human billboard attorney Kevin Avery represents Wile E Coyote in a lawsuit against Acme. A growing friendship between Wile E Coyote and Kevin builds up their determination to win the court case, as it pits them against Buddy Crane, the intimidating boss of Kevin’s former law firm, who now represents Acme.
Coyote vs. Acme will release in theaters on August 28, 2026.
