Scarlett Johansson‘s rumored role in The Batman: Part II may be much bigger than expected. While earlier reports linked her to Gilda Dent, a new leak claims she will instead play the sequel’s main villain.
A new post on the DCULeaks Reddit page, shared by user dborn1, claims to reveal details from the set of The Batman: Part II. According to the leak, Scarlett Johansson is playing the film’s main villain—a serial killer obsessed with plants who uses deadly toxins, in what appears to be a grounded take on Poison Ivy. The character is reportedly targeting Gotham’s elite, including the leader of the Court of Owls, played by Charles Dance.
The leak also claims Sebastian Stan will play a scarred and tattooed Victor Zsasz and Brian Tyree Henry will portray Harvey Dent/Two-Face.
The Batman: Part II stars Robert Pattinson as Batman, Brian Tyree Henry as Harvey Dent, Andy Serkis as Alfred, Colin Farrell as The Penguin, Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, Jayme Lawson as Mayor Bella Reál, and Gil Perez-Abraham as Officer Martinez, with Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johansson, and Sebastian Koch in undisclosed roles, and Charles Dance.
The Batman: Part II reunites director Reeves and co-writer Mattson Tomlin for the sequel to The Batman and The Penguin. The first movie followed a younger Bruce Wayne caught in a noir-style mystery involving the Riddler and Gotham’s corrupt elite. It went on to gross $772 million worldwide during its theatrical run.
The Batman: Part II will hit theaters on October 1, 2027, by Warner Bros. Pictures.
